Problems Encountered While Creatign my Animation

There weren't many problems that I encountered due to the fact that my animation  was very simple. One of the main problems that I encountered though was that Inkscape kept freezing up. I had lost some of my work and had to restart it. This helped me to remember that i should ALWAYS! save my work.
Another problem that I encountered was that i kept getting distracted by people around me. This cause me to take more time to finish the animation.

What image format were you saving your work in during development of the frames?

The format that I was using to save my images were PNG. this made it easier to view them when i was editing the different steps through out my animation.

Describe the creation process you used

At first i wanted to do a animation that had a penguin. After researching this i found out that it was to complicated to do so I changed my idea. My idea was then do to a pacman that went around eating and then eventually out of its mouth came to words "GO CLARE". It took roughly three lesson to complete. At first I only got to import very few frames, but eventually i got quicker. The finished animation is made up of 204 slides. Originally it went for 17 minutes with a frame rate of 5seconds. After i changed it went for 16 seconds with a frame rate of 0.05 second and 5seconds for a introduction.

    

Describe what software you used and why you choose it

The software that I used was Inkscape. I used this program because it was easy to navigate through when I knew how to use the program. It is also easier to get the image do what you want to do. After deciding on what I wanted my animation to be based on it was very easy to get the program to do that task.

-Moving animation-

Last lesson I exported another 100 frames. My animation was starting to come together.
I only had the last few frames to export

In todays lesson i finshed my pacman. I exported all the remaning slides that I had to. I put the frames into movie maker, initally my animation wnet for 17 mintues with a frame rate of 5seconds per frame. I changed frame rate to 0.07 seconds per frame and now my animation goers for 14seconds. in my aniamtion there are 205 frames (:

Today i managed to export  the first 50 frames for my animation.

today i started to make the figure that would be my mascott for clare. I set out the way it would be and started to export the image.

- Ping Pong aniamtion-

In class on the 3rd of march we made an animation on microsoft powerpoint. Sir showed us how to make objects move and how to put them toghether in a sequence to make them into and animation.

Painting Tools (:

1. Rectangle Select

You can use this tool to define a rectangle or square area that you want o select.

2. Move Selected Pixels

You can use this tool to move pixels that are already selected by using different selection tools.

3. Lasso Select

You can use this tool to define free form selection area.

4. Move Selection

You can use this tool to move the selected area without affecting the pixels that are selected.

5. Ellipse Select

This tool is very much like the rectangle select tool, but it can be used to define ellipse or circle selection areas.

6. Zoom

This tool can be used to enlarge and minimise various parts of the canvas or the whole canvas.

7. Magic Wand

You can use this tool to select areas of the similar colour.

8. Text Tool

You can use this tool to add text onto a selected area on your canvas. 

9. Paintbrush

This tool is automatically chosen when you use paint and can be used to draw free from images on your canvas.

10. Eraser

You can use this tool to rub out various parts on your canvas.

11. Pencil

You can use this tool the active layer pixel-by-pixel.

12. Colour Picker

You can use this tool to transfer a colour pixel by pixel into either the primary or secondary colour chosen use the mouses left and right click.

13. Clone Stamp

You can use this tool to copy pixels in the same layer or in-between layers.

14. Recolor Tool

You can use this tool to change one colour with another.

15. Paint Bucket

You can use this tool to fill in areas that are of the same colour with another colour in the same area.

16. Line / Curve Tool

You can use this tool if you want to draw straight/curved lines.

17. Rectangle

You can use this tool to draw rectangles or square shapes.

18. Rounded Rectangle

This tool is very much like the rectangle tool and can be used to draw rounded rectangles and squares.

19. Ellipse

Like the rectangle tool you can use it to draw ellipses and circles.

20. Freeform Shape

You can use this tool to draw a shape with a free form outline or an irregular shape.

21. Tolerance Slider

You can use this tool to define how the magic wand, recolour tool and paint bucket operate. It can control how similar colours change. A tolerance of 0% means that only colours that are exactly the same as you chose will be changed. A tolerance of 100% means that the colour you chose and colours that a similar too it will be chosen. The default value is 50%. (Example: if you wanted a purple part of the picture to be turned red and the tolerance was set to 0% then only everything purple will be change, if the tolerance was at 100% then colours that are purple and a shade of purple will get changed.)

22. Colour Display

You can use this to be able to see what your primary and secondary colours are. It also allows you to rest the primary and secondary colours back to black and white as well as swapping the colours of the primary and secondary colours.
